Good Laffs for a Good Cause

In November of 2025, during the federal shutdown when SNAP benefits disappeared, Gem City Comedy teamed up with The Barrel House to help Gem City Action support local families. We threw this show together fast, but the goal was simple:

Bring food. Bring money. Bring people together.

Dayton showed up in a big way. We filled donation bins, raised extra funds from the bar’s draft sales, and still managed to put on a killer comedy show while the first snow of the season came down outside. It felt good to do something good.
